EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION
The excursion starts with the departure from the south of the island towards the northern city of Santa Brigida. Here, we will visit the market, which is famous for its fruit, vegetables and handicrafts of the island. You will never forget this magical city with the nature which surrounds each street and house.
Next we will go to San Mateo, another famous city in the island, to visit the local market, famous especially for the wonderful cheese in the island. Here, you will be able to enjoy the friendliness of people and the incredible fresh air that you will breathe.
Then we will visit Teror, where the basilica of “Nuestra Señora del Pino”, the patron saint of the island of Gran Canaria, is. We recommend a visit to the basilica. You will be fascinated with the visit to this incredible and magical church. In Teror we will visit the third and last market of the day too. This market is famous for the typical products of this village, like sausage, sweet sausage (morcilla dulce), bread, You can also find many products related to religious worship and typical handicraft from the Canary Islands.
After this last stop in Teror we will return again to the south of the island. You will remember this excursion during all your life, because you will see another landscape of the island and you will enjoy the products of the local markets in Gran Canaria.
